- O acidente vascular cerebral (AVC), também chamado de derrame, é uma enfermidade quase silenciosa e se não for tratada a tempo, pode deixar várias sequelas ou mesmo levar à morte. Dados da Sociedade Brasileira de Doenças Cerebrovasculares, apontam que em torno de 70% das pessoas não retornam ao trabalho e cerca de 50% ficam dependentes de ajuda das pessoas para tarefas do diárias, após terem sofrido um AVC.
- Existe dois tipos de AVC:
- Acidente vascular isquêmico – falta de circulação numa área do cérebro devido ao boqueio de uma ou mais artérias por ateromas, trombose ou embolia. É mais comum ocorrer nas pessoas mais velhas como consequência do diabetes, colesterol elevado, hipertensão arterial, problemas vasculares e fumantes.
- Acidente vascular hemorrágico – sangramento cerebral provocado pelo rompimento de um vaso sanguíneo ocasionado pelo aumento da pressão arterial, problemas na coagulação do sangue e traumatismos. Podendo ocorrer nas pessoas mais jovens e é mais grave. O fato é que homens e mulheres de qualquer idade podem ter e por isso é muito importante saber os sinais de que um AVC está prestes a ocorrer.
Os sinais do AVC e como prevenir
- Fraqueza nos membros e formigamentos;
- Assimetria facial e alterações de fala;
- Náuseas e vômitos;
- Confusão mental;
- Dor de cabeça intensa;
- Crises convulsivas;
- Falta de força num lado do corpo;
- PrevençãoControle o seu colesterol, pressão arterial e glicemia;
- Tabagismo e consumo de bebidas alcoólicas;
- Reduza o consumo de sódio e gorduras;
- Faça acompanhamento médico regular;
- Mantenha o peso ideal e exercícios físicos;
- Consumo de alimentos saudáveis.
Tratamento
- No caso do AVC isquêmico, existe um medicamento injetável altamente eficaz, e estudos mostram que em até 4h30min após o início dos sintomas, o paciente que recebe esse medicamento que no qual é responsável por desobstruir o vaso lesionado e assim tem mais chances de bons resultados. Além disso o tratamento pode ser feito com cateterismo, desobstruindo o vaso cerebral.

Reabilitação após o AVC
- Quanto mais cedo o paciente iniciar seu tratamento de reabilitação, mais chances tem de se recuperar. Dependendo a sequela, poderão ser indicadas técnicas de fisioterapia, terapia ocupacional, fonoaudiologia, hidroterapia, psicologia e neuropsicologia. O objetivo é tentar recuperar ou desenvolver as funções perdidas durante o Acidente Vascular Cerebral.
