O renomado ator Kayky Brito, com 34 anos de idade, enfrentou um trágico incidente nas primeiras horas deste sábado, 2 de setembro. O acidente ocorreu na Avenida Lúcio Costa, no número 4.700, situada na pitoresca Barra da Tijuca, na Zona Oeste do Rio de Janeiro.
Conforme informações divulgadas pela Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, o estado de saúde de Kayky é extremamente crítico, uma vez que ele sofreu um grave politrauma corporal e um traumatismo craniano. O ator foi vítima de um atropelamento por parte de um motorista de aplicativo enquanto atravessava a via, próximo ao condomínio Barra Bela.
O condutor do veículo envolvido no incidente foi levado para a 16ª Delegacia de Polícia, localizada na Barra da Tijuca, e submetido ao exame de alcoolemia no Instituto Médico-Legal (IML) no Centro do Rio. De acordo com as autoridades policiais, o teste não revelou qualquer indício de consumo de álcool por parte do motorista.
Os bombeiros foram chamados por volta da 1h da madrugada e prestaram os primeiros socorros a Kayky, encaminhando-o para o Hospital Miguel Couto, no bairro do Leblon, na Zona Sul da cidade. O delegado Ângelo José Lages Machado, que lidera a 16ª Delegacia, informou que o motorista do carro de aplicativo foi autuado por lesão corporal no trânsito.
Antes de ser resgatado pelos bombeiros, o ator apresentava dificuldades respiratórias. Vale destacar que Kayky é irmão da talentosa atriz Sthefany Brito.
Um dos momentos mais memoráveis de sua carreira foi em 2003, quando interpretou o papel de Bernadete na novela “Chocolate com Pimenta”, desempenhando o papel de um garoto criado como se fosse uma menina.
