Hugo Motta Enfrenta Moraes
O presidente da Câmara, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), desafiou a interpretação popular de que os eventos de 8 de janeiro de 2023 representaram uma tentativa de golpe de Estado. Durante uma entrevista à Rádio Arapuan FM, o deputado destacou a falta de liderança unificada como um forte argumento contra a teoria de ruptura democrática.
“A ideia de golpe pressupõe uma liderança clara e o apoio de instituições chave, o que claramente não ocorreu em janeiro”, afirmou Motta. Ele descreveu os responsáveis pelos distúrbios como “vândalos e baderneiros” frustrados com o resultado das urnas.
Quanto ao projeto de lei que busca anistiar os condenados pelos eventos de janeiro, Motta ressaltou a ausência de um consenso. A proposta tem causado divisões na Câmara e tensões com outros Poderes, especialmente com solicitações do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro para que seja votada, enquanto aliados do governo Lula veem a medida como um retrocesso.
“Estou avaliando se colocarei o projeto em pauta na próxima semana, mas o diálogo continua aberto”, ponderou o parlamentar, refletindo sobre a complexidade da situação.
Motta também criticou a severidade das penalidades impostas, citando o caso de uma senhora que foi sentenciada a 17 anos de prisão apenas por passar perto do local dos distúrbios. “Precisamos ser firmes contra quem causou danos, mas sem cair em exageros”, argumentou.
No dia dos eventos, Hugo Motta utilizou suas redes sociais para condenar as ações, classificando-as como gravemente antidemocráticas. “Ações que ameaçam nossa democracia não serão toleradas”, declarou, reforçando seu compromisso com a justiça social e a defesa institucional.
