Ex-Vereador Gabriel Monteiro é Solto pela Justiça
A juíza Renata Guarino, da 34ª Vara Criminal do Rio de Janeiro, determinou nesta sexta-feira (21) a liberação de Gabriel Monteiro, ex-vereador da cidade. A decisão segue uma ordem do Superior Tribunal de Justiça (STJ). Gabriel Monteiro estava detido desde novembro de 2022 na Cadeia Pública Pedrolino Werling de Oliveira, mais conhecida como Bangu 8, situada no Complexo Penitenciário de Gericinó, na Zona Oeste.
Monteiro foi preso preventivamente sob a acusação de estupro contra uma jovem de 23 anos, que também o acusa de ter transmitido o vírus HPV. Antes de sua prisão, Monteiro divulgou um vídeo onde nega as acusações.
Com a nova determinação judicial, Gabriel Monteiro deverá usar tornozeleira eletrônica e permanecer no Rio de Janeiro. Além disso, ele terá que comparecer periodicamente ao juízo e evitar qualquer contato com pessoas envolvidas no processo.
