O jornalista Rodrigo Constantino publicou, nesta sexta-feira (7), uma carta aberta endereçada a importantes autoridades americanas, incluindo o ex-presidente Donald Trump, o bilionário Elon Musk e o senador Marco Rubio. No documento, Constantino denuncia o que classifica como censura e perseguição promovidas pelo ministro Alexandre de Moraes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), ao longo dos últimos dois anos.
Agora cidadão americano, Constantino revelou que, por ordem de Moraes, teve seu passaporte brasileiro revogado e suas contas bancárias bloqueadas. Como se não bastassem os entraves legais, o jornalista enfrenta uma batalha pessoal contra um câncer raro e agressivo na Flórida, o que tornou sua situação ainda mais delicada.
“Estou lutando por minha vida e pela liberdade”
Em sua carta, Constantino ressaltou as dificuldades que vem enfrentando e destacou a gravidade da situação. “Estou lutando contra um câncer agressivo na Flórida e enfrentando despesas médicas significativas. Diante deste momento crucial nos Estados Unidos, quero expor essas injustiças, esperando que meu caso sirva de alerta para outros que sofrem perseguição semelhante”, escreveu.
Ele também apontou que acredita na fragilidade da posição de Moraes e que, com pressão suficiente, existe uma chance real de que ele recue. Constantino finalizou seu apelo com um pedido de ajuda:
“Por favor, ajudem-nos a lutar pela liberdade dos nossos compatriotas brasileiros!”
