Depoimento de Mourão ao STF destaca omissão do governo Lula no 8 de janeiro
O senador Hamilton Mourão (Republicanos-RS), ex-vice-presidente da República, prestou depoimento nesta sexta-feira (23) ao Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), no âmbito do inquérito que apura responsabilidades pelos atos de 8 de janeiro de 2023. Durante sua fala, Mourão apontou diretamente para a omissão do governo Lula, gerando desconforto na corte e irritando o ministro Alexandre de Moraes.
Mourão foi ouvido como testemunha do tenente-coronel Mauro Cid e do general Augusto Heleno. O senador respondeu a questionamentos feitos pelo advogado de defesa do ex-presidente Jair Bolsonaro, Paulo Amador Cunha Bueno, sobre a atuação da inteligência das Forças Armadas.
Segundo Mourão, há uma sessão especializada dentro do Exército encarregada de analisar informações e emitir alertas baseados em relatórios de inteligência. Ele destacou que tal estrutura continua operando normalmente e deveria ter sido acionada para prevenir os ataques ocorridos em Brasília.
“É a sessão de inteligência encarregada de analisar as informações que chegam”, afirmou. “Por óbvio que isso perdura até os dias de hoje e deveria ter acionado os meios respectivos.”
Lula responsabilizado pela falta de ação
De forma direta, Mourão responsabilizou o governo do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva pela falta de medidas preventivas. O senador indicou que a omissão do Ministério da Defesa foi determinante para o agravamento da situação.
A declaração gerou reação imediata do ministro Alexandre de Moraes. O relator do inquérito interrompeu a linha de perguntas da defesa, afirmando que Mourão não possui qualificação técnica para análises de risco ou cenários.
